The best goal ever scored in a shoot-out, ever!!
Tooth #8 just popped through today in Caleb's mouth. Which explains why he was whiny yesterday and drooly today.
Lovely morning this morning. I was at work and trying to get Ruth and Gary ready for the bus to work that comes at 8:30. Ruth had breakfast by herself and then after I got Gary ready, i found her at 8:15 (15 mins before bus time) sitting in the living room watching tv and looking at a magazine still in her pjs. So I asked her to get dressed before the bus came. She said "no, don't want to." So I asked her again, then explained that she needed to hurry or she would miss the bus. "no, don't want to" Right okay, then I told her that if she didn't get dressed, she couldn't go to Ravara (day center) and she would have to stay in the house by herself because I was going home and Gary was going to Ravara. "no, don't want to." Nothing I said seemed to convince her until i asked what trainers she wanted to wear, and told her to go pick some out. Once she was in her room she forgot that she didn't want to get dressed and was no problem. But I was soooooo annoyed. By the way, she was dressed by 8:35 and thankfully the bus was late so it was okay. So, any ideas on how to get someone out of the habit of saying no? Particularly someone who doesn't even understand the word no? And when given an ultimatum, says no to both?
The Law...
Sad news. I got a letter about the classroom assistant jobs I applied for. They said I wasn't qualified so they wouldn't even send my application through to the school to be interviewed. So I called them up to tell them they were wrong and I was over-qualified but they still said because I didn't have an NVQ then I wasn't qualified. Which is stinkin because I have more education and more experience than most of the people applying for that job. Stinkin Northern Ireland classroom assistant hiring people that don't see a good thing when it comes to them. So I'm stuck at Positive Futures for now.
I got my writing score today. I needed a 26 to pass the test and I got a 44. The weird thing is that I did better on the writing part then on the reading part. I thought that it would be the other way around. But I was right about one thing, I did the best on the math part. Overall it was a pretty easy test...just like everyone said. It was weird to take a test again. I haven't taken a test or done school type stuff in a long time.
Anyway, now I can become sub and on days that I am not subbing I will be out buying stuff to list on ebay.
I got this off of Lem's blog, I thought it was cool so I am putting in on this blog.

This weekend I went to the Women's retreat with FBC and Robin and I did skits for all the sessions (4). She was Bobbi Lu and I was Billi Jo. She owns The Beauty Shop (where beauty is our middle name) and I was her little sister, the manicurist in her store. We were into theme dressing, she was in pink and pink flamingos and I was into animal prints (leopard, etc.) It was really fun and easy even though we just started to work together the Wed. before the retreat (Linda Kay was supposed to do it but her father died - so I was a last minute replacement). Robin and my humor is really similar so we could just play off each other...so totally fun and creative, a lot less stress than being the speaker!
