Ice Cream

It's hot. So I thought that I would make some ice cream. I have made it twice now so I am basically an expert...or so I thought. About 5 min before it was done I thought that I would check on it and this is what I saw...

...so I guess I need to read the directions every time.

Classic Caleb Moments

Caleb was upset about something and was crying. I told him that if he wanted to cry then that was fine but he had to sit on his bed. So I picked him up and put him on his bed and walked out of the room. I got into the Kitchen when I heard "NO Mommy!" He got up walked over to the door, "Close the door". He then closed the door walked back to his bed and started crying again. I guess I didn't punish him the right way so he had to correct me.

Nana and Papa came over to visit. Usually Caleb is very excited to see them. They came in and did Caleb say 'Hi'...no instead the first thing he said to them was "Shoes Here. Jacket There." And waited for both of them to put their things in the right places before saying Hi.

We were out at a restraunt and gave Caleb some Dr. Pepper to try. It was his first time having soda (I think). After taking his first sip he said "Mmmm...spicy juice"

At dinner Caleb was playing around instead of eating. He hit his foot and was crying and was sure that it hurt very badly. So I took the band-aid off of his head (where a similar life threatening owie had happened) and put it on his foot where the supposed injury was. It was an instant cure, the crying immediately stopped and he announced "All better" and ate his dinner.

We drove down the beach. When Caleb saw the water he was sure that it was "yucky, gross. No water. Yucky." After being there for a while I had to change him into his swimsuit because he was playing in the water.

Caleb is in the independent 2 year old stage where he wants to do everything by himself. When getting in the car he wanted to put on his seatbelt by himself, so I supervised him while he got it on. After he got it on he wanted to close the door all by himself. His carseat is in the middle of the back seat. So he can't reach the door and so I closed the door. He cried for almost 10 minutes because "No Caleb close door. Caleb do it."

Ok that is all I can think of right now, but I am sure there will be more to come.
