U2!!!

We went down to Dublin yesterday and saw U2 play live in their hometown! It was FANTABULOUS! They were really really good and the crowd was pure madness. Over 80,000 people there, in this huge stadium, and they all sang every word to most of the songs they played. It was crazy. You couldn't even hear Bono at all for the first three songs because all you heard was the crowd singing. It was very very fun. YAY!!!

Mr Impatient

Thats me that is!!

Im so tired of waiting on our petition approval. Although things are starting to happen for some people who i've met through the visajourney website, our case has not been touched, and shows no signs of life! grr....

We are waiting on our NOA2, which means our petition has been approved, and gets forwarded to the National Visa Centre (NVC), where things really start to happen. It seems like the NVC is a series of relaying information, and money($450!!!) between ourselves and the authorities, and a lot happens in a small amount of time!

But right now, its back to waiting.......

oh, and U2 is this weekend!!

Don't Super Size Me

We just finished watching Super Size Me and I am not feeling so good. I am seriously feeling sick to my stomach and I don't eat fast food that often. Watching that made me see for the first time why people would want to become vegans.
I don't remember the last time that I ate at McDonalds but I don't think that I will ever eat there again. Did you know that their new premium salads have as much sugar and fat in them as a Big Mac. The fruit and yogurt parfait has more calories and fat then any of the sundaes and if you get the one with granola it is worse for you. The super size drink is about a half gallon. My guess is that most other fast food places are about the same nutritionally.
This is a great movie for anyone who is thinking they need a new diet plan. Just watch this movie everytime you get a craving for junk/fast food. If you haven't seen it yet I recommend it, and the bonus features give some interesting information as well...I don't know what McDonalds french fries are made of but I now doubt that it is anything non man-made.

He's OK

Caleb is OK now, he ate a lot of steak tonight so there is no need to worry. Guess that was just a short phase. We were starting to wonder if he really was our kid.

Oh and about my finger, I got it X-rayed and it isn't broken, I just damaged the tendon which could take up to 3 months to heal. So the moral of the story is to not drink so much milk so that when you slam your finger in the door you will break it so that the healing process is faster.

Another side note: I also went to a chiropractor who said that I have scoliosis and took X-rays so I am going to ask for them to compare them to Brittany's.

no baby bunnies

Twix got neutered today and he's doing just fine. PHEW! I've gotten pretty attached to him and was very worried after being told rabbits don't make it through the surgery quite often. Thankfully, Twix is one tough rabbit. But if I get this worked up about a rabbit, what am I going to do when I have kids?!?

Vegetarian??

Caleb refuses to eat meat. He won't eat chicken, fish, or steak, he just spits them out. This has been going on for about a week or so now. He will whine and cry at dinner if we try to give him meat but as soon as we give him fruit or veggies or bread he will smile and eat it all. If he had his way all that he would eat is fruit, frozen peas and carrots and peanut butter sandwiches. So now we have to figure out what to do about it, do we force him to eat meat and not let him have other options or do we just give in for now since this could be a phase. If we try to only give him certain foods that he refuses to eat then will he eventually eat them because he is hungry or just not eat? If we just give in will he think that he can get away with just eating certain foods? This is when the real parenting starts to happen.

Other news. I have 2 hurt fingers. One I slammed in the car door and the other got squished between a railroad tie and the car. Maybe if I go to the Dr. I can go on medical leave and not have to work summer school...that would be nice.
